This Alpina, Number 270, Remains absolutely original and unmolested and has been owned by the same fastidious gentleman since 2011. With only two previous keepers on the V5.
First registered on 23/06/03 at Elms BMW it came generously specced with grey extended leather, heated electric memory seats and dark wood interior, Harmon Kardon speaker system, Sat Nav, TV, Bose speaker system, 6 disc CD changer, multi function steering wheel & cruise control.
The Carbon black exterior is in stunning condition, carrying a deep shine across all panels.
All four genuine 18” alloys are in excellent condition and wrapped in brand new Michelin Pilot Sports all round. Centre cap key is present and works on all four wheels.
An interesting touch on all Alpina wheels is the tyre valve hidden behind the centre cap of the wheel rather than on the rim, giving the wheels a cleaner look.
The Light silver grey nappa and dark walnut interior is in stunning condition, a real credit to the previous owners.
The wood finish almost looks grey, a welcome variant to the usual brown shade seen inside many BMW’s of this era.
All the usual Alpina touches are here – Green stitched steering wheel with those unmistakable gear change arrows, Alpina over mats, unmarked Alpina kick panels, Alpina stitched owners hand book, and individual build plaque.
The leather is in the condition of one half this mileage. Free from any marks and scuffs, and none of the usual drivers bolster wear.
The original Alpina over mats are present and in good condition. Door cards, roof lining and centre consul are all in exceptional condition.
This Alpina pulls strong through its 5 speed switchtronic box all the way to its 7,200rpm rev limiter. Delivering an addictive raspy note through the exhaust at high revs.
The E46 B3 uses BMW’s legendary straight six, but with some internal trickery including lightened pistons, a revised crankshaft and friction optimised valve gear – one of the world’s best engines sweetened still further.
Service history – Stamped service book is present and supported by paper invoices dating from 2008 up until now.
